Dear Linda, Yogi and families: I was very saddened to read of the passing of your mother. I know that this is the end of a long and difficult period for you. Yogi and Family, Mary Ann and I are terribly saddened by loss of your mom. We offer our heartfelt condolences to all of you. Mary Ann and I got to know your Mom a little better during the last years she was able to come to football and basketball games at the University. Despite (or maybe because of) the constant banter among you, Yogi, your Dad and your Dad, Sylvia always remained the consumate lady. Mary Ann and I will never forget how she always greeted us with open arms and a smile...even when we knew she wasn't feeling very well. Your Mom was one of the great Great Danes fans. She'll forever be remembered on the playing fields and in the athletic buildings at UA. We were fortunate to know her. All of you are in our thoughts, as is your Mom. Mary Ann and Jay

We are deeply saddened with the news of Sylvia's passing. She was a wonderful and loving lady who was as much a part of the "Siegel" legacy at UAlbany as was Benny. We loved her dearly and will think of her often. Our sincerest condolences to the entire family. Dennis and Sylvia Elkin

Dear Yogi, Linda and family, I am truely sorry for the loss of your mom. My memories of her will remain from seeing her nearly 45 years ago when we played baseball and went bowling at the Pladium and then back to your house. Your Mom always had a smile while your father told all of his stories. Where does the time go. Take care knowing that your mom is at peace. Roger

Dear Linda, Yogi and Family, My sincere condolences to you. Your Mom was a devoted daughter and caregiver to your Grandmother. Over the years, our paths would cross when I visited my Mom, Lill Gingold, your Grandmother's cousin, who also resided at the Home. Your Mom was there every day to comfort and attend to your Grandmother = such devotion and commitment was never a burden for her. Sylvia was a very special person and I am sure you already know that.

It was such a pleasure to know Sylvia. She was so friendly and pleasant even when she didn't feel so well -- whether it was at the bowling alley enjoying the silliness of Linda and her friends -- or at a Journey into Womanhood ritual with 6th grade girls who very much need to connect with women of all ages. I will always remember Sylvia's big grin, and I'll certainly miss Linda bringing her around to hang with us. Love to all, Vicki
