As a new member of Temple Gates, I was very nervous about joining the Sisterhood group - not only was a much younger but at the time I was also not Jewish. But Eleanor made me feel welcomed. She made sure that I was greeted and welcomed at that meeting and at other meetings that I attended. Eleanor was one of the women who made sure that I would be part of Sisterhood for years to come. I admired her very much. She belonged to a generation of women that had a sense of dignity and grace. I believe that we have lost that today. I no longer live in Schenectady and when I learned of Eleanor's death I was quite surprised and saddened. She seemed to be someone who would always be there at the Temple. Now she will be live in our hearts and memories.

Sue Ellen - Sorry to hear about your mom. She taught a safe driving program a couple of years ago which I attended. It was a blast talking to her about some of the good old Hampton Ave. days including a couple of " Sue " stories !. She was always a very gracious and sharp lady.
