Obituary of Toby Lea Friedland

Guilderland, New York 1952-2010 Toby Lea Friedland passed from this life on August 11, 2010. She was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Half Hollow Hills High School in Dix Hills, New York; Cazenovia College and Hartwick College. For the past two decades, Ms. Friedland has worked in higher education serving schools such as Bryant and Stratton, Albany Medical College and, for the past 11 years, as an Admissions Counselor at Excelsior College in Albany, New York. Ms. Friedland was a passionate animal rights activist throughout her life and a friend of Bill W. for the past 20 years. She is survived by her beloved Jason, her mother Helen Friedland, her sister Barbara Martelli (Marco) and many cousins, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father Martin Friedland and her brother Stephen Friedland Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Friday August 13, 2010 at 1:30pm. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend.
