The last time I spoke to Toby was several weeks ago. I had called the hospital to check on a mutual friend after her surgery and it was Toby who answered her phone. I can think of so many occasions when Toby was present to help others, quietly and unassuming. She helped me a great deal when I first came to Schenectady and I will always be grateful to her. Miss you Toby!

to Tobi's family - I have fond memories of my talks with Toby. When my dryer wasn't working - I would see her at the laundromat - and we would have a good talk. It was always a joy to see her. I'm so sorry for your loss. I pray for all of you - for the Lord's comfort and strength thru this time of loss.

Jason, a Sheba Inu, was the apple of Toby's eye. She was devastated when he was run over by a car, crushing both hips and sustaining other injuries. She was working and could not stay at home with him. I was unemployed at the time and took the task of nurturing Jason back to health during the days. It was necessary to carry him outside to eliminate, to carry him anywhere...and to be very careful when doing so. Toby had this whole list of do's and don't's for me. Typical Toby. It didn't matter to her that I was volunteering...what mattered was Jason. And I guess that is the way it should be. When Toby cared...she cared deeply. I will miss her very much. I love you Toby.

Toby was always friendly and a positive role model. She would always ask me how I was doing and I would always say "fine". She would say "Yeah, so really what's going on?". I will miss her concern as a friend. Your friend, Bill. I will miss you.

I first met Toby when I started working at Excelsior College. She had a great way about her and her distinct voice and laugh always made me smile. Through getting to know Toby, she shared with me her stories of her life in fashion and living in New York City - something she always seemed to miss. I loved those stories. I admired her sense of style; she always looked like she was ready for the runway. Her willingness to help her fellow collegues was appreciated, but what was always most impressive was her devotion to her pets. Her spirit was an inspiration and her light will be missed.
Rest in Peace,
Laura Suspanic

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same. Anybody who knew Toby embraced her effervescence, her energy, her passion. She will live on forever in our memories and in our hearts. She would not want you to dwell in her passing but celebrate her life.

I would like to send my condolences to the family of Toby. She was an incredible person, who was caring, compassionate, and loving. She taught me alot while listening to her at the meetings we attended. She loved her dog, and loved taking care of her mom. I will always remember all the wisdom she shared with many.

Toby was one of the first friends I made after moving here from New Mexico. She was always kind and enjoyable to talk to. She loved her dogs, especially Jason. He is her miracle. She helped me a great deal a few years back and I will always remember her fondly. When I moved into a new house, she was right there helping and scrubbed my kitchen so it would be clean for us to start our new life there. She was thoughtful like that sometimes.

My deepest condolences to all those who had the pleasure of knowing this incredibly strong, passionate and beautiful woman. I have nothing but wonderful memories of Toby over the years. We had many laughs and many cries together, yet she was always concerned with how you were doing, instead of herself. Today, a beautiful light has gone out. I will miss you Toby.
