Dear Jan and family:
I am saddened by the death of Dorothy. We talked often and I will miss those lengthy conversations about everything mostly politics of the State. Dorothy was a true friend and had good values and I respected her for her stamina to do for herself. She prided in her family and was deeply grateful to Jan for her concern and help that she provided. I will miss her greatly. She was a good friend. A wonderful human being.

My heart is saddened. I have known Dorothy since the early/mid 70's when I worked with her at the NYS Insurance Dept. We've kept in touch over the years and have been able to meet for dinners and good conversations.
I will truly miss you, Dorothy.

I was always fond of Dorothy...one of the "ladies with the hats" as she often referred to herself. I enjoyed talking with Dorothy as we did several times a year. I was impressed with how resilient she was. I will miss those conversations and her wit. My sympathies to all of her family.

To Jan and all of Dorothy's family-
I am so very sorry for your loss. Dorothy was a wonderful woman, and I will miss her. I was just thinking last week that I needed to call her, so I'm sorry I didn't get the opportunity to talk to her again. I was able to spend some time with her over the past few years, and was always impressed by her elegance, wit, and intelligence. She was a true original. It was very apparent how much she loved and admired her family. My thoughts and sympathies are with you all at this sad time.
Sincerely,
Ann Gallagher
