Obituary of Sylvia Berg

ALBANY, NY Sylvia Falkow Berg, age 82 of Edgecomb Street in Albany died on Wednesday morning December 17, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Berg was born in Albany and was a lifelong Albany resident. Sylvia had worked with her late husband, Gunter A. Berg operating the former Second Avenue Pharmacy in Albany. She was an active member of Congregation Beth Abraham Jacob where she worked on their bingo committee for several years. She was a member of the Independent Benevolent Society in Albany and a former board member of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home Foundation. She was married to Gunter A. Berg until his passing in 1990. Loving Mother of Richard A. Berg and his wife, Cynthia Frederick of Wilmington, NC and Michael Berg of Bellingham, Washington. She also leaves a brother, Samuel Falkow of Tucson, Arizona. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Friday December 19, 2008 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in the Independent Benevolent Cemetery in Guilderland, NY.
