Obituary of Roslyn A. Marlin
Roslyn Marlin, 81, passed away on March 4th. She was the wife of the late Morris Marlin, who passed away in December, mother of Jay and Alan Marlin, and June Marlin Falb; mother in law of Caryn Marlin and Robert Falb. Grandmother of Sarah Marlin, Sam and Maya Falb.
Born in Albany May 29, 1932, daughter of Harry and Ann Applebaum, sister of the late Elaine Clark and the late Herbert Applebaum.
Roz, a native of Albany, married Moe Marlin in 1951 and moved to Troy. She could often be seen waiting on customers in Raphael's Delicatessen where Moe and his mother, Florence owned the deli. In later years she was the receptionist at Temple Beth El in Troy where she was also active in the Sisterhood. Roz worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany for 18 years. They moved to Brunswick in
1974 and lived there for 40 years. They were married for 61 years.
Services at Temple Beth El, 411 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1:00pm. Interment will be in the Beth El Cemetery in Troy, NY. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Roz in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.The period of mourning will be observed on Saturday evening at the Marlin residence in Troy.
