I will always miss seeing Dick on his boat or at Stewarts getting an ice cream cone. Lake George will never be the same for my family without Dick Krakower. He always took an interest in others with warmth and kindness. He was a great friend to my dad.

To all,
My deepest sympathy on Dick's passing. Al Krakower and my mother, Rose were married in the early 1950s--it was just after my Army service. Al and Rose lived at 240 Crown Street in Brooklyn until his death. My mother lived in the same apartment for 51 years until her death in 1995. Not sure of when she was born--1900 or 1902.
My mother, Rose Mohler, was born on the lower east side of NYC but brought up in Poughkeepsie. Her brothers, were Henry (Schenectady), Sidney (Ravena) and Albert (Poughkeepsie)--all long gone.
Reed, will call if I can find your number.

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Dick and Ellie were friends of my mother Barbara Smith (who passed away earlier this year) and I visited with them in Siesta Key and Sarasota where my Mom would spend a month or so. I will always remember his model planes. May his memory be a blessing.

So sorry to learn of Dick's passing. We have many fond memories of him including giving our son his first fishing rod, conducting a Masonic service for my dad's funeral, taking us around Minneapolis when we were visiting for Mollie's Bat Mitzvah and so many others. What a mensch he was, always. His mother and my mom's mother were dear friends and so my mom knew him even before he was part of our family and always spoke so highly of Dick as one of the best people she knew. He will be sorely missed. Please accept our deepest condolences.

Dick was a joy and a mensch and a gentleman. How can I say how much I will miss him? Even though we rarely got together, the connection was as if we'd seen each other "just the other day."
Eleanor, we love you and send you hugs. I am in shock so forgive me for not having the right words. I'm here if you need to talk.

Please accept my sincere condolences to the entire Krakower family. I was saddened to learn of Dicks passing today. Dick was always a truly great friend and always there to lend a helping hand. It seems like yesterday we were playing tennis together and sailing.
I will always remember and cherish the wonderful times we had together. His advice and warmth was always welcomed by me especially at times when things were not so good for me. Dick will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. I will miss him dearly. Goodbye my good friend.

I remember going to meet Donna's parents for the first time. I was nervous, but from the first moment, both Dick and Ellie made me feel like part of the family. One weekend when Ellie was away, I drove up to Lake George and spent the weekend with Dick. He took me fishing, and introduced me to the venerable "Poopys." He treated me like his own son, and I will never forget him.

My sincere condolences to the Krakower Family. There was nothing better than dining with Richard at "Jacks Diner" or talking to him on the phone. He certainly always gave me some tidbit of advice on business and life.
Richard was a sweet man and will be missed by all. May your faith in G-D, family and friends get you through these tough times.
