Is this the Asa Kaplan who was taken by his father from England during World War II during the Blitz to live for a short time with the Linder family in Brooklyn, NY?

was saddened to read about Asa's passing. I have many fond memories of Asa. My most vivid is a metallurgy course he taught at GE. I've taken many courses, both undergraduate and graduate, in my life. His was one of the finest taught courses I've ever had. You have my condolences.
