I have known Mitch from afar for over 35 years as my practice as a municipal and procurement lawyer often involved areas in which Mitch was regarded as the leading expert and because, as counsel in the New York State Comptroller’s Office, he provided guidance to our State on matters of paramount importance.
I have always been impressed by Mitch’s professionalism, integrity, expertise and above all, his dedication to serving the People of the State of New York.
I am deeply saddened by Mitch’s passing. He contributed mightily to our community through his lifelong dedication and the qualities he brought to his work.
Please accept my condolences upon the passing of this very special person.

To the family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Mitchell has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to paradise earth as Jehovah God has promised. In fact, the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God intended from the beginning. God's kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ. READ John 5:28,29, Job 14:14,15, Psalms 37:29, Matthew 6:9,10, Matthew5:5 and Revelation 21:2-4

I was shocked to hear about Mitch. I cried to learn that he is gone. As I type this, I'm crying for you and Bradley. I wish I could find the right words to say to you - to comfort you, but I can't. Please know how so very sorry I am. I will remember you and Bradley in my heart and my prayers.
Sincerely - with love and sympathy

Renee and Bradley, my heart breaks for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Mitch was so many things in life including a great boss and an amazing mentor. He taught me so many things about municipal law. His love for his work spilled over to all of us in the unit. He pushed us to be better every day and taught us to love this area of law the way he did. Mitch truly cared for his staff and was respected by so many people. The mark he left on municipal law and his LGSA & Debt Management Unit will last forever.

Mitch was my go-to with any
municipal law questions. Although I retired a few years ago, I remember him fondly and all his great advice given through the years, Including his chastising - warning us (auditors) not to play attorney. Rest in peace. You made a big difference with your dedicated work in the Comptroller's Office.
