Roberta, Terri and Melinda,
I'm so very sorry for your loss of such a wonderful man. I will always remember the multitude of good times and laughs we had over the years, and the support and guidance Richard gave me on my life journey. He was truly a special person with a huge heart and he loved his family above all else. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Richard was a tremendous community leader and designer. I was honored to work with him in the furniture industry and on B’nai Brith issues. He was upbeat, positive and mentored many young designers. May his memory be a blessing.

Sorry to hear of Dick's passing. We were good friends at AHS but we lost track of each other over the years. I moved from Albany after college and presently reside in San Diego county, CA. We had some nice days together during the several AHS reunions, most recently the 60th. I will miss him. A great guy.

Daddy,
There’s no father anywhere who will be missed more and thought of more often or loved more than you.
To know you are no longer in pain is worth my having a broken heart.
With all my admiration, adoration, respect and undying love,
Terri

Roberta,
I am so sorry to hear of Richard’s passing. I have such wonderful memories of the time we spent together.
He took me to a place in Cohoes to buy granite counter tops in a location that used to belong to my family. Then I took him to see my old house and school.
The next time we met, he insisted on showing me where he lived in Albany and where he went to school!
We also had a lovely lunch together the day I forgot my pocketbook because I had a slab of granite in a tote bag over my shoulder and was locked out of my house!
He was a wonderful guy with a big heart. I will always cherish the time I spent with him. May your memories be a blessing.

Part of Rich’s longtime leadership role in B’nai B’rith has involved and inspired me: his many years of supporting the B’nai B’rith Capital Area Holocaust Essay Contest via the Albany/Gideon Lodge, and his personal presence at the annual Essay Contest Award Ceremony. I was overwhelmed that Rich had hoped to attend this year’s Award Ceremony, even after learning of his dire medical situation. Rich’s inspiring participation and support over many years has been greatly appreciated, and will be acutely missed. I extend my condolences and best wishes to Rich’s family. I make these remarks as my own small contribution toward remembering him fully and eternally.

What a loss to all of us. I still have the photo of him as a kid under the tree with Albert, Freddie Simon, Barbara and another boy. It is so nice to see him enjoying the company of his friends and that wonderful smile. I did not have the pleasure of knowing him as a child and only met him when I married Albert. But, his inner soul touched me right away and I knew I had a friend for life. He was a fountain of Albany knowledge and if you wanted to know about anyone or the best place to get something for a good price, he was the source to go to. He bore up under tribulations and offered comfort to those in need. I can't tell Albert because he would be too upset in his condition. Please give my love to your mom and your sister. Your mom has been at the top of my "wonderful human beings list", along with your father since we first met about 58 years ago. I don't have the talent to really express my sadness over losing him. With love always, Jacquie and Albert

My sincere condolences to the Seiden Family. It was only last week that we sat together at the Knights of Pythias breakfast and joked how my Mother considered him her other son. Rest in Peace Richard.

I am saddened to hear about Richard's death. I had no idea how significant his contributions to the community were. I did have a sense of how important his love was to you and your family. The only thing worse than such a loss would have been not to have had him in your life. You are in my thoughts.
