My cousin Gladys Evenchick was the oldest of 8 first cousins, all girls except me. She was about 20 yrs older because her father Louis Evenchick was the first to marry of the children of Israel and Rachel (Cherches)Evenchick. She told me how my father used to bring her and her sisters dresses when he visited. Her Evenchick ancestors came from Koidanov, Belarus in the early 1900s. Condolenced to all the family and friends.
I am so surprised and sad to hear this. Gladys was so much a part of my childhood memories that she will always seem alive to me. While I am glad she had a long life, and died suddenly without suffering, the sadness part of losing her predominates. My heart goes out her husband, Morris. Let the spirits protect the family in this loss.
