Dear Family, I feel such a void in my life now that Eddy has passed. I wait for my nightly telephone call, and the phone is silence. I pass a new deli, and think of how much Eddy would have loved to eat there, always comparing it to the old deli of his youth. The good Jewish foods, the chicken soups with all the "garbage" thrown in. Food was his delight but family was always number one. He loved Bert with all his heart. He was caring and loved to make her happy. Their time alone, together made her a different person. She needed his undivided attention and he gave it to her lovingly. During her illness, he was ever so patient with her needs (Eddy! Eddy! Eddy!). He loved each member of his family, proudly and each in a special way, responding to their needs at that time. Sandford, Donna, Robin, Bernie, Lisa, Mandy, David and Garett and all their spouses. But, his greatest joy was seeing CeeCee in person and if that was not possible, he taught himself how to use the computer in order to be able to watch her grow. He wanted to be here to greet his new great-grand children and pass on the legacy of the Cohn family. His brothers were his lifeline to the past but also very much in the present, he talked about them foundly. The passing of Bobby was fresh in his mind, and he missed him. He wanted all the brothers and their families to always stay in touch with each other, no matter how busy life became for them. Friends and strangers and all those that he was able to help made his life worth living, they entered his heart and he never forgot them. He entered my heart and I will never forget him.

Avrum and I are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Ed and of course Bert were very dear to us. We are so sorry we can't attend, but want you to know how very much we loved your Dad.
