Obituary of Dr. Morris Cohen

Dr. Morris Cohen, age 84 of Albany, NY died on Saturday evening, June 24, 2017 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany. Borin in NYC, Dr. Cohen was a graduate of the Talmudic High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He was also a graduate of they Yeshiva University where he received his Masters, Docorate and Rabbinical Degrees.  Dr. Cohen had been employed as a Clinical Psychologist for the Office of Mental Hygiene in Albany retiring in 1987. He later had been employed by the Center for the Disabled in Albany. He was a member of Temple Israel and their brotherhood in Albany. Dr. Cohen enjoyed traveling , photography and and was a wine lover. He was also a member of ther American Psychological Associatioin.  Dr. was a member of the Arbor Hill Development Board in Albany . He had the opportunity to travel to Israel in 1989 and spoke fluent Yiddish

He was married to Miriam Cohen until her passing in 1978. Father of Naomi Cohen of Glenmont, NY, Rachel McDermott of Saratoga Springs, NY and Anna Cohen of Brooklyn, NY. Grandfather of Zachary and Luna McDermott. He was predeceased by a sister, Frieda Dickinson of Forest Hills, Queens.
