My sincere condolences to Robert, Karen, and Adrienne - as well as your loving spouses and children - on the passing of Mrs. Helen Scherzer. I was out of town and only heard today. When I was coming out at the age of 18 life became very difficult for me. I was unable to continue my studies. Having already worked with Karen in the Stuyvesant Plaza Pant Wheel store, Helen and Harvey agreed to give me a full-time job. Needless to say, that kept me out of trouble. I was well taken care of and my parents were relieved. The Scherzer family worked very hard together. But the loving kindness amidst all of you as a family is what I remember most. One Friday evening in 1980 I was straightening out some racks close to the store window. The sun was beginning to set. As I looked up at the sunset, to my right, a wonderfully well-dressed couple were walking toward the store holding hands. I paused to look because of the pace of their walk and how well dressed they were. It was a moment I know many people didn`t have a chance to see. I witnessed the love and class Harvey and Helen Scherzer walked through life with. Coming to the store to see their kids. I will always remember them that way. And I will always be appreciative for being part of Rosen`s history. My sincere condolences. May the memories always be a source of comfort and love. Warm regards, Scott Jason Miller

Her memory is a blessing. She was a wonderful lady and I'm glad to have been related to her! I remember her indomitable spirit and how kind she always was to me. My mother always smiled when visiting her cousins Helen and Eleanor. We all loved going to Aunt Mollie's and seeing all the loving members of our Albany family. Please accept my deepest condolences. You are in my thoughts.
