I am very sorry for your loss . Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience . Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible . Jesus tells us at John 5 : 28 , 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out . What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day . Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask Jehovah God to bless your family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time .

Sally and I worked together at Albany Medical Center. She was an excellent nurse and wonderful co-worker. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Sally was undoubtedly the best neighbor anyone could have. She lived next door to our family on Kelton Court the whole time my parents lived in the house (and during the time my sister and I went to grade school, high school, college and returned for family holidays).
Each year Sally would work on Christmas Eve in the NICU at Albany Med so that the nurses there who celebrated Christmas could be with their families. My parents always threw their annual (and still talked about) Christmas eve parties. Sally did us the honor of signaling when the party was over since she stopped in after her 3 - 11 shift.
She was devoted to her son Bobby and his long life was a testament to her care.
I am saddened that I was unable to attend her services this morning and help at her burial. The world has been a better place Sally being in it.

When Selma was recognized by the Albany School District my wife Hannah, who was her nursing sidekick at Livingston, recalled her as Sally," the gal with sass." She was an excellent nurse ...of the old school...like my wife who cared for their patients and students with great skill and lots of love. Sally made sure that whether you were a patient, student or caregiver she would dispense advice ---welcome or not---along with wonderful nursing care. Her beloved Jack left her too soon. Bobby was her great joy and comfort. Every child born of woman should have the mother Sally was to Bobby. She ran the race to the full and now has her prize....the new Jerusalem where every tear will be wiped away and all things will be made new!
While Sally, the life-long Democrat, was frail at the end, her mind was as keen as ever. We can only surmise that when she saw the election of Republican Donald Trump as President she realized it was her time to go.
