How sad it was for us to read about the passing of Dr. Harris. She had been my dermatologist for 49 years and became my husband's after we married. She was a wonderful doctor but more importantly she was a wonderful person. She will be missed by many here on Staten Island. Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss.

I was very upset to hear about Dr. Harris. I was her patient for 45 years and will remember how kind she was and how much she helped me. I felt she was more to me than a doctor.
You have my deepest condolences.

I had the immense pleasure of getting to know Dr. Harris during her teaching sessions within the Skin and Cancer Unit. She personified what it meant to be a 'lifelong teacher', even planning on teaching after retirement. It was obvious that Dr. Harris had a passion for life. Dr. Harris will always be known as 'the doctor with a smile on her face who said hello to everyone'. But even more, she will live on in my heart as Dr. Harriet Harris, passionate for life and much more.

I was a patient of Dr. Harris for many years first meeting her in the 1970s. On my last visit this past May when she told my husband & I that we had decided to retire I was saddened that our relationship was ending but at the same time told her that she had a long and fruitful career and now she would enjoy her retirement along with her husband and children, of which I heard many delightful stories over the years. We extend our deepest condolence to her family and are saddened that this world has indeed lost a wonderful, caring physician and human being.
