I was heartbroken to hear of Evelyn's passing. She was truly a light. Generous, warm, interested in everyone around her, a wonderful conversationalist. I have so many memories going back to my childhood and her home on Edgewood, sitting around my Aunt Sarah's table, keeping up to date about what she was up to her through my mother, Muriel. She was someone we will always remember for her heart, her humor, and her genuine interest in people and the world around her.
Sending love to all the family.

My condolences to the Segal family . Evelyn was what God had in mind when he created human beings. She exemplified the definition of mensh ; one of the kindest, loving and most unassuming people I ever had the pleasure of knowing .

Aunt Evelyn was the centerpiece of our family for decades. My memories go back to the horse drawn Friehoffer's cart (on Homes Court?) and the chocolate seltzer sodas that were such a big deal to a small town kid from Vermont. I have never known a kinder, more generous, welcoming person than Aunt Evelyn. She was a blessing to everyone she touched. She was simply the best.

My sincerest condolences to Ken, Burt and their families as well to the whole Segel and Kahn family. I have many fond childhood memories of "Aunt" Evelyn. She was a lifelong friend of my mother. I remember her to be a strong and giving person, full of joy and kindness. Truly a Eishet Chayil.
May wonderful memories bring you comfort during these days.
