Obituary of Daniel Morris Gross
Daniel Morris Gross died on the morning of February 2, 2015 in his home. Dan was born in Chicago, IL on June 29, 1991 to James Gross and Susan McCann. With his family, Dan moved from Oak Park, Illinois to Loudonville in 1999. Dan attended Loudonville Elementary, Shaker Junior High School, And graduated from Shaker Senior High School in 2009. After graduating, Dan attended SUNY-Potsdam. While there, Dan met numerous friends and became very involved in campus, including leading the Philosophy Forum. Dan graduated from Potsdam in 2013.
Before graduation, Dan interned with the New York State Office of the Comptroller. After graduation, Dan worked for Clean and Healthy New York . Dan then took a position with Maximus, Inc. as an enrollment specialist for the Affordable Care Act. Dan was recently promoted to a supervisory role at the same firm. Dan had a wonderful love of life, family and making the world a better place. His first word was "light" and he was the light of our world.
Dan is survived by his immediate family including his parents, Jim and. Susan, his brother Jack and his sister Mary. He is also survived by his loving grandparents Larry and Betty Gross, his aunts and uncles Peter Gross and Shelley Churchill, Greg McCann, Michael McCann and Nok Meetongpun, Matthew McCann, Mark and Debbie McCann and Megan McCann. Dan is survived by eight first cousins and numerous other family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206.
