Jeanne Rabin Kanaan M.D. of Slingerlands, New York died on Saturday morning, September 24, 2011 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Rabin Kanaan graduated from Boston University with high honors. She was a graduate of the University Of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester Massachusetts.She later served her residency training at McGill University in Montreal and later Case Western Reserve in Ohio. From 1988 to 2003 Dr. Rabin Kanaan was the chief of Urogynecology at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts and in 2003 she started practicing at the Albany Medical Center Dept. of Urogynecology. She was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany.
Dr. Rabin Kanaan is survived by her loving husband, Camille Kanaan M.D., her son, David Rabin Kanaan and her daughter, Grace Rabin Kanaan. Sister of Mark Rabin of Washington, DC. She also leaves her father, Leon Rabin of East Walpole, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her Mother, Sylvia Gold Rabin.
Services at the Mendleson Chapel, located on the grounds of the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 12 noon. Friends are relatives are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will follow in the Beth Emeth Cemetery family plot.
