Obituary of Bernard Fisher

Bernard ( Bernie) Fisher, age 84 of Hobe Sound, Florida died on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at his residence. Bernie was born in Albany and had been a longtime Capital District area resident. He later moved to Florida in 2007 where he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He had been employed as a truck driver for many years for Roadway Express after which he was employed by Trojan Hardware in Troy until his retirement. He was a member of the Beth Tephilah Synagogue in Troy and was a Navy veteran. Bernie was married to Gert Hyman Fisher until her passing in 2001. He is survived by his loving son, Mark Fisher and his wife Julie of Studio City, California. He also leaves nieces and nephews. Services at the Beth Tephilah Cemetery, Spring Avenue in Troy, NY on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 10:00. Those wishing to remember Bernie in a special way may make a memorial contribution the the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211. There will be a memorial service held in Florida at a date and time to be announced.
