Niskayuna, New York
Thomas Darwin Perreault, age 43 of Niskayuna, New York died on Friday, July 29, 2011 at his residence. Born in Salamanca, NY, he was a graduate of Cornell University and Brooklyn Law School. Thomas was employed as an attorney for the New York State Dept. of Transportation in Albany for 20 years where he was a leader in the law department. He was a member of Congregation Gates of Heaven in Schenectady, a member of Alpha Zeta Fraternity at Cornell University. He was a strong supporter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Thomas was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan as well as a fan of the Buffalo Bills. He enjoyed and coached pop warner football for many years. His family was very important to him. He found pleasure in activities with his family, such as camping, fishing and walking.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Elisa Diamond Perreault. He was the cherished father of Jennifer Ann Perreault, Benjamin Jennings Perreault, Jeffrey Diamond Perreault and Jason Mocko Perreault. He is the son of Suzanne Mocko Perreault of Niskayuna, NY and the late Benjamin C. Perreault. Brother of Robert W. Perreault of Rotterdam, NY. Son-in-law of Melvin and Sharon Diamond of Rochester, NY. Thomas was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Anna Mocko and William and Frances Perreault.
Services at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Avenue Schenectady, NY on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 1:00pm. All are welcome to attend. Interment will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery on Watt Street in Schenectady. Those wishing to remember Thomas in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Juvenile Diabetes Research, 6 Greenwood Drive, # 1 A, East Greenbush, NY 12061 or for Hope Center Orphanage in Kenya, ( an orphanage supported by the Perreault family). If so desired, please make check payable to Dr. Elisa Perreault and mail to the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206. The period of mourning will be observed at the Perreault residence on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm.
