Obituary of David Albert Nicholson
DAVID ALBERT NICHOLSON
David Albert Nicholson, age 81 of Tampa Avenue in Albany died suddenly on Tuesday March 29, 2011 at the Albany Medical Center after being stricken. David was a lifelong Albany resident. He was a Navy Veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He was an entrepreneur providing amusement games to retail establishments throughout the Capital District. In later years, he specialized in antique Wurlitzer jukeboxes. David was a coin collector and enjoyed traveling.
David was married to Norma Nicholson until her passing in 2010. He is survived by his son, Timothy Nicholson ( Deborah) of Selkirk, NY and his stepchildren, Tracy Goodman of Albany, Pamela Goodman of Boston, Massachusetts, and Gary Goodman ( Donna) of Nevada. Grandfather of Laura and Katelin Nicholson and step grandfather of Gunnar Goodman, James Goodman and Spencer Grady. He was predeceased by a son David A. Nicholson and a brother, Jack Nicholson.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 2-4pm. Interment with military honors will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. David will be remembered by his family as a kind and loving man.
