Obituary of Sabina Kartsovnik

SABINA KARTSOVNIK Albany, NY Sabina Kartsovnik, age 85 of Albany, NY died on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Albany Medical Center. Born in the Soviet Union, Dr. Kartsovnik came to the United States in 1993. She earned her PhD and M.D. while residing in the Ukraine. She volunteered much of her time at Ronald McDonald House in Albany. Dr. Kartsovnik was an avid reader and kept current by reading medical books and journals. She found pleasure in playing the piano and listening to music. She is survived by her husband, Emmanuil Tsoyref of Albany, her son, Alexander ( Yelena) Tsoyref of Delmar, NY, a sister, Bina Kartsovnik of Albany and grandchildren, Marina and Boris. Private services will be held at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany with interment in the Independent Benevolent Cemetery in Guilderland, NY. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the gold unit at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center as well as the staff on ICU at the Albany Medical Center for the kindness and compassion shown to Sabina.
