Obituary of Elaine Chait

ELAINE CHAIT Albany, New York 1942-2011 Elaine Chait, age 68, died on Friday morning, January 21, 2011 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Elaine was born in Albany and was the loving daughter of the late Ida Rosenthal Chait and Samuel Chait. Elaine was a graduate of Albany High School, Russell Sage College and attended Ithaca College as an English major. She was employed as a supervisor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and was later employed as a paralegal for several NYS Assemblyman at the NYS Legislature. Elaine enjoyed theater, film, ballet , tennis and writing. She was a brave, brilliant, witty, sweet and elegant lady who was loved and will be missed by so many. She is survived by her devoted sister, Suzanne Chait- Magenheim and her husband Lawrence C. Magenheim of NYC. Elaine also leaves several cousins. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany, NY on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland, NY. The period of mourning will be observed at the Ohav Shalom Apartments, 115 New Krumkill Road, Apartment 913 in Albany on Monday and Tuesday evenings .
