I was so sorry to here of Ediths passing. She was such a lovely lady, always smiling and gracious. I have fond memories of her when I was young. There is no greater loss than the loss of a mother, so my prayers are with you along with my deepest sympathy.

Dear Nancy, Steven, Steve and children. My heart ached when I received your phone call this morning telling me about my sweet Cousin Edith passing away. I am so glad she was not in pain and passed away peacefully. She now joins my Sister Sophie who left us on December 11th. They spent the last few years together at Daughters of Sarah and loved getting together whenever they could. My prayers are with all of you. I am sorry I cannot be with you at the funeral. Love, Cousin Roz

I was lucky to know Edith for many reasons but one of the really special ones was the fact that Edith knew my mother, Mariam when they were both young and lived in downtown Albany. Edith used to tell me stories about my mom. She remembered me and my sister, Tilli, as small children. When I married into the Bender family, I was fortunate to become Edith's cousin. She was a force of nature, a little whirlwind. I will miss her. My deepest sympathies go out to her children and grandchildren.
