CELIA NELSON Albany, New York Celia Nelson, age 97 passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, Albany, NY. Celia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Solomon Nelson of Binghamton, NY. Celia was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bertha Weinholtz of Albany, NY. She grew up in Albany, NY and was a former long time resident of Binghamton, NY. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her beloved daughters, Arlene Sahr and her husband, Ronald of Clifton Park, NY, Gail Nelson of Loveland, Ohio, Ohio, Sandra Horvath and her husband, Rudy of Albany, NY and Elaine Rapaport of Vestal, NY. She was the cherished grandmother of Amy (Paul) Valtin, Jill (Matthew) Strout, Robert (Allison) Sahr, Michael (Grace) Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, Lisa Michaels, Debbie Smith, Vincent Smith, Valerie Karczynski, and Alan Rapaport. Great Grandmother of Brian and David Valtin, Alex, Zachary and Benjamin Strout, Brandon, Emily and Sara Sahr. Mrs. Nelson is also survived by her sister, Lee Strong of Albany, NY and several nieces and nephews. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel 649 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 10:00am. Immediately following the memorial service, the family will proceed to Temple Israel Riverside Cemetery, Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY where burial will take place.
