Obituary of Albert Hassoun

ALBERT HASSOUN Albert Hassoun passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 16, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany surrounded by his loving family. He was for many years the jewelry buyer for Boardman Ltd. in Albany until his retirement in 1986. Albert's entire life was devoted to his family which was always his number one priority. His total dedication to family was unparalleled. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking and baking and delighted family and friends with his exotic cookies and unsurpassed baklava. He like to keep up on all the news programs on television as well as an occasional horse race. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Rosine Sinelonikoff Hassoun. Devoted Father of Isaac (Cindy) Hassoun of Rapid City, SD, and Elliott (Sherri) Hassoun of Slingerlands, NY. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie (Keith) Shea, David and Dan Hassoun. Great grandfather of Donovan Shea. Uncle of Milia (Aldo) Ugge and Mary Campagnano both of Milan, Italy and Stephanie Mimoun of Hezelia, Israel. Albert was predeceased by his brother, Elie and sister, Rebecca. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel 649 Washington Avenue Albany, NY on Thursday November 18, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland, NY. Those wishing to remember Albert in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Temple Israel, 600 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208.
