Obituary of Ida Agns Koslowf

IDA AGNES KOSLOWF KINGSTON - Ida Agnes Koslowf, a longtime resident of Kingston, passed away on November 3, 2010 at 99 years of age at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine. Born in Schenectady, New York to Rose and Jacob Koslowsky, she graduated from the Brooklyn Jewish Hospital School of Nursing and attended Columbia University and Union College. A registered nurse, she worked at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital and Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, and then worked for many years as a head nurse and staff nurse at Kingston Hospital.She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Paula Abelove Gilbert of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY; Steven Abelove of Lawndale, CA; Judith Abelove Shemtob of Scarsdale, NY; Dr. Arthur E. Lindner, New York City; and Lucy Rosengarten, New York City. The family wishes to acknowledge the devoted friendship and most generous help of Joan Gage of Kingston. Graveside service will be held at the Workmen's Circle Cemetery on Schermerhorn Street in Rotterdam, NY on Sunday November 7, 2010 at 12 noon.
