Obituary of Morris Mirochnik

Morris Mirochnik, age 86 of Edgecomb Street in Albany died suddenly on Sunday morning October 17, 2010 at his residence. Born in Poland, Mr.Mirochnik had been an Albany resident since 1947. He had been the proprietor of Brin's Hardware Store on Delaware Avenue in Albany retiring in 1987. Morris was a member of Congregation Beth Abraham Jacob in Albany and served as their treasurer at one time as well as the chairperson of their bingo committee.
He was also a member of Albany City Lodge # 540 Knights of Pythias in Albany.
Morris is survived by his wife Yetta Baril Mirochnik, a daughter, Sandy Lipman and her husband Richard of Loudonville, NY and a son Jerry Mirochnik and his wife Sheree of Slingerlands, NY. Grandfather of Sharon and Adam Lipman and Brian and Stacey Mirochnik. Morris was predeceased by his brother, Shimon Mirochnik.
Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany, NY on Monday October 18, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Beth Abraham Jacob Cemetery in Guilderland, NY. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Sandy and Richard Lipman, 12 Wellesley Ct in Loudonville, NY on Monday following the service of interment and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1-4 and 7-9 pm and on Friday through noon.
