I was a scared 20 year old when I first met Naomi. I applied for a job at Burt Children's Center in October of 1985 and once I met John W., I had to meet Naomi as she was the boss who had final say....I was a little scared at first, but she was warm and welcoming and made me feel at home. She lived and worked in a beautiful home in Pacific Heights and I was to come to feel very welcome there for work get-togethers and special projects for work. I came to know Naomi, Margot and Mary Burt very well over the next 4 years that I worked there. Burt Children's Center was a very special place to work and I made many wonderful friends there. Naomi and Margot and Mary even threw an engagement party for my husband and I, whom I met while we both worked there. She was kind, generous and a warm person. I will never forget her.

Naomi was very special. She had a beautiful gift for working with children and a passion expressed in numerous artistic ways. She was a loving person, as well as a devoted partner, and she will be missed in this world. She had so much courage to follow her dreams and visions with the supportive love of her life-partner. Naomi loved learning about people and always encouraged them to do what they loved. With fond memories and blessings for Margot, Ruth & Debbie
