Dear Harriet, Seth, and Alyssa: I told Sam on your wedding day, that he is now my bro, and I'm his sis. That's what we always called each other. Sam was a great husband and dad. I will always remember his great sense of humor and will miss him very much.

Dear Harriet, Seth and Alyssa; What a loss you have suffered. We certainly have you in our thoughts. Sam seemed to always have a smile on his face especially when Amy and I were with all you last year for that great Bar Mitzvah. Everyone could see how proud he was of all of you and how much he cared. He has been a blessing for so many. Love from us all, Bill, Melia, Aaron, David and Amy.

Dear Harriet, Seth and Alyssa, Colleen and I are heart broken at the news of Sam's sudden passing. Sam was a good friend and fellow musician. He always was exciting to be with and perform with. Sam was a true lover of his art form, always willing to share his valued talent and information that would encourage and enlighten anyone within earshot called Jon LeRoy, who now lives in Florida. Jon was also very devastated to hear of Sam's passing. We shared the stage with Sam for many gigs. He was a powerful member of the jazz scene. God bless you, Sincerely, Ted and Colleen MacKenzie

I live in Nasville and have for quite awhile. I have a guitar case I got from Sam, It
reminds me a lot of when I asked Sam to give me some lessons. He tuned me right up. I still use those licks. He was inspiring to say the least. I have not seen him in years, but he will not be forgotten.

To those of us who were blessed to have known Sam in a personal and professional manner, we are better people for having been touched by his humor, support and most of all Kindness. I will always be "delighted "for having been able to share a table with Sam and laugh over stories shared. I would rather he still be here but to know that he is forever watching over those he loved is comforting. We will hear your strings for ever in hearts.

I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Sam on many Saturday mornings over the past three years as my son, Alexander, took piano lessons from Vince Bonefede. Sam and I were age contemporaries and we chatted about music, but much more about politics and American history. This was all prompted by the Jack Ruby-Lee Harvey Oswald poster he had in the store. Frankly, his passing was a huge shock for me and Alexander, and while we probably were only acquaintances, he was always very friendly and warm to me and it was a sincere pleasure to have routinely talked with him so often; it was becoming a ritual for us to chat about some event of the past week. So please accept my condolences, and pleasure of having have shared a small part of Sam's life. Warmest regards, Roger Benson 23 Delafield Drive Colonie, NY 12205

My sincere condolences to The Farkas Family, I am much disheartened by Sam's sudden departure. I had known Sam for some thirty odd years, as he was my guitar teacher when I was in high school. While he possessed a keen intellect, Sam was a very compassionate person. He enriched the lives of everyone with whom he knew on a personal level. Sincerely, Kevin McNeal

Harriet, Seth & Alyssa ~ We are so saddened by your loss. It's during times like this when you realize that life isn't always fair. But, unfortunately, for those of us left behind it must go on although somewhat differently than before. Sam will always be remembered as a kind, wonderful, gentle-hearted man who would always light up a room with his smile and his stories. He taught us all a very valuable lesson. He had been through so much with his illness and never let it get the best of him. Even in the end! He was always so strong. May we carry his strength with us every day to help us through our own challenges and difficulties. We will certainly miss him. He was a wonderful man. The Bernsons ~ Mike, DeeDee & Alicia

Dear Eva and Barbara, I was shocked to hear of your brother's sudden passing, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Sam peripherally from music circles; most recently, from his being in the pit at a Bethlehem school theatre production. His passing is a great loss to the community, but an even greater loss to you and your entire family. My deepest condolences. Your old Little Notch friend, Mary Ryther (LeRoy)
