Obituary of Berna Fay Sevits

Berna Fay Sevits ,age 99 of Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady died peacefully on Thursday June 10, 2010 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, New York she resided in Lake George, New York and Miami Beach, Florida for many years. She was a graduate of Schenectady High School Berna was employed at David's Children Shop in Schenectady and was a member of Congregation Agudat Achim . She was the wife of the late Benjamin Sevits. She is survived by her son Norman Sevits (Elaine) of Loudonville, her grandchildren Joseph Lewi (Missy), James Lewi (Lori), David Sevits, Barbara Winters (Paul) and Lisa La Porta (Chris). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and several nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Sevits Lewi and her sisters Mary Stark and Ruth Ginsbury. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of her family.
