Obituary of Beatrice Yanku

YANKU Beatrice Kaplan Yanku of Colonie, NY died on Thursday evening June 3, 2010 at her residence. She was a life long Capital District resident. She was married to Sonny Yanku until his passing in 1971. Mother of Sheila Sosis and her husband Paul of Oakland, New Jersey, Richard Yanku and his wife Valerie of Suffolk, Virginia and Barry Yanku of Montclair, NJ .Sister of Rose Weinblatt of Clifton,New Jersey. She also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beatrice was predeceased by her brother, Morris Kaplan and a sister, Sophie Orfitelli. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Services at the Ohav Shalom Cemetery on Western Avenue in Guilderland, NY on Monday June 7, 2010 at 12 noon. Those wishing to remember Beatrice in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the Ohav Shalom Talmud Torah Fund, 113 New Krumkill Road Albany, NY 12208 or Jewish Family Services of Northeastern NY, 877 Madison Avenue, Albany, NY 12208 . The period of mourning will be observed at the residence in Colonie on Monday evening and on Tuesday from 12-5pm. The remainder of the period of mourning will be held in New Jersey. =
