Obituary of Alan Kohn

DR. ALAN ROBERT KOHN Los Angeles, California KOHN Dr. Alan Robert Kohn, 81 of Rolling Hills Estates, CA, formerly of Albany, died Monday, May 10, 2010. He was born in Albany, NY, where he resided most of his life. He was a graduate of Albany High School, Union College and earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Illinois. He took great pride in his profession and was beloved by his patients. He enjoyed sports very much. He was an avid golfer and played basketball while in college. He also was a tournament bridge player. His greatest love was for his children and grandchildren. Retiring in California, kept him in close contact with his family. He is survived by his children, Marcy ( Frank) Melton of Los Angeles, CA, Gary ( Robin) Kohn of Los Angeles, CA and Ellen ( Steven) Osinski of Del Mar, CA. Devoted grandfather of Gabriella Melton, Amber and David Kohn, Allie and Julia Osinski. He is also survived by his brother Ronald P. Kohn of Albany, NY, sister-in-law, Nancy Kohn of Albany, NY, sister-in-law Ursula B. Kohn of Lake Worth, FL and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Maurice J. Kohn and Lillian R. Kohn and his brother Howard E. Kohn. Services and interment were held on May 13, 2010 at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles, CA.
