Obituary of Florence S. Levine

LEVINE Schenectady, New York Florence S. Harrison Levine, age 92 of the Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady, NY died on Sunday morning May 9, 2010 at the nursing home. Mrs. Levine was born in Schenectady and was a lifelong resident. She had been employed as a switchboard operator for Sterling Winthrop in Rensselaer for more than 25 years. She was married to Herman Levine until his passing. Mother of Marilyn Halsdorf and her husband, James of Glenville, NY, Sandy Schwartz and her husband Michael of Saratoga Springs, NY and Alan Levine and his wife Judy of Chicago, Illinois. Step mother of Richard Levine and his wife Pat of Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Levine was predeceased by her son, Robert L. Levine. Grandmother of Courtney Halsdorf, Elizabeth Schwartz (John Skaggs), Karen Lind (Andy), Renee Levine Hamou (David) and Kimberly Levine Sanchez (Alex). Great grandmother of Zachary, Samantha and Lea. Services will be held at Memory's Garden Chapel, Watervliet Shaker Road in Colonie, NY on Wednesday May 12, 2010 at 3:00pm.
