Obituary of Anne De Sair

Anne ( Connie) De Sair, of Forest Avenue in Albany left this world on May 3, 2010 after a long life of 95 years. Anne was the former wife of Skippy De Sair, a saxophone and clarinet player, who was prominent during the 1940's swing era, who played with many of the big bands. Anne enjoyed being in Hollywood and New York City with him. She was the mother of the late Dennis De Sair. She is survived by 2 daughters, Diane ( Mike) Tschida of Franklin, Tn. and Sandra ( the late George) De Cenzo of Albany. Anne was grandmother to Denise Tschida of Kansas, Kristin Tschida of Nashville, Tn. and Mike Tschida Jr. of Los Angeles, California, Dennis ( Marybeth ) De Cenzo , Mark ( Tina) De Cenzo , Gregg ( Kathy) De Cenzo and Lauren ( Anthony) Williams. Anne was great grandmother to Leonard Ellis of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dennis, Danny, Kirsten, Talia, Antoni and Carina De Cenzo. Great great grandmother to Maliah Lee Ellis. Anne was born in Worcester, MA. on January 11, 1915 to Anthony Gaeskwy and Anna Vasys who both immigrated from Lithuania. She was one of four sisters. She was predeceased by her sisters, Adele Kallio and Helen Vigneaux and her surviving sister, Ryda Simone all of Shrewsbury, MA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She also leaves behind her canine pal and dinner date, Max who will surely miss her. Anne lived most of her life in Albany where she met and married Skip and raised her family. She was a loving and caring Mom and Gramma, always having meals ready whenever the kids were hungry. She provided well for her family through good times and bad. She will be missed so much by us all. Funeral Mass Friday, 11:00 May 7, 2010 at St. James Church 391 Delaware Avenue Albany. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Thursday May 6, 2010 from 6-8pm. Interment will be in the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY. Donations may be made to St. Peter's Hospice 315 South Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208 or the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, NY 12204.
