Obituary of Beatrice Kaplan

Beatrice Gimble Kaplan, age 87, of Niskayuna died on Thursday, April 8th, 2010. Mrs. Kaplan was born in Brooklyn, NY, resided in Queens, NY, Chicago, IL and New Jersey for many years and has been a capital district resident the last 10 years. She assisted her husband of 63 years, Dr. Nathan Kaplan, in his medical practice in Queens, NY. She was an accomplished pianist. Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, JoAnn Krefetz and her husband Walter of Niskayuna, NY, and two sons, Kenneth Kaplan and his wife Cathy of Brookline, MA and David Kaplan and his wife Freda Miller of Toronto, Canada. Sister of Gloria Kahn of Brooklyn, NY. Grandmother of Joshua and Rachel Krefetz, Stacey, Jane and Sam Kaplan and Cameron and Luke Woodard. Graveside services will be held at the Agudat Achim Cemetery, Schermerhorn Street, Rotterdam, NY on Sunday April 11th at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Agudat Achim, 2117 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12309. Shiva minyan will be held at the home of Dr. Kaplan, 14 Edison Drive, Niskayuna, NY on Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00pm.
