Obituary of Barbara Stracher

BARBARA STRACHER 1934-2010 Barbara Levinsky Stracher, age 76 of Niskayuna, NY died on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Albany Medical Center. Mrs. Stracher was born in Booklyn, NY. She was a register nurse who devoted herself to a 30 year nursing career at Belleville Maternity Hospital in Niskayuna. Following her retirement she was employed by the New York State Nurses Association. She was pre deceased in 2004 by her loving husband of fifty years Sidney Stracher. She is survived by a brother, Norman Levinsky of Colorado. Cherished mother of Philip of Clifton Park, NY, Karen of Hudson, NY, Brian of Westminster, CO and Kurt of Germantown, NY. She also leaves seven adoring grandchildren and one great grandchild. Barbara will be remembered as a devoted wife and an amazing mother. Services will be held at Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave., Albany, NY on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will take place on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
