Jeanette Friedman Morrison, age 92 of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany died on Thursday evening January 21, 2010 at the nursing home. Born in Newburgh, NY she has been a Capital District resident since 1939. She and her late husband, Dr. Jack Morrison spent many winters in Florida. Jeanette was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth and their sisterhood as well as a member of Hadassah. She was a member and Past President of the Third District Dental Auxiliary. She was known for her artistic capabilities including her excellent sculptures. Above all, her family was her greatest accomplishment.
Jeanette's husband, Dr. Jack Morrison predeceased her in 2006. Loving Mother of Patricia (Dr. Robert) Friedman of Albany, NY and Dr. Lewis Morrison (Phyllis) of Clifton Park, NY. Cherished grandmother of Jeremy and David Morrison, Lauri Raznick, Marcy Spink and Lisa Movitz. She also leaves 8 great grandchildren. Jeanette was predeceased in 2004 by her granddaughter, Amanda Morrison.
Services will be held at the Mendleson Chapel on the grounds of the Beth Emeth Cemetery, Turner Lane Loudonville, NY on Sunday January 24, 2010 at 11:00am. Those wishing to remember Jeanette may make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice. The period of mourning will be observed on Sunday at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Friedman, 392 Greenway in Albany and on Monday and Tuesday evenings at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Morrison, 7 Bear Brook Ct in Clifton Park, NY commencing at 7:00pm.
