Obituary of Rosalind F. Platt

Troy, New York PLATT Rosalind F. Platt, age 90 of 14th Street in Troy, NY died on Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, NY. Mrs. Platt was born Albany, NY and was raised in Hoags Corners, Rensselaer County New York . She was a graduate of the New Lebanon Central High School in 1935. She had been employed by the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles and retired in 1976. She was a member of the Beth Tephilah Synagogue in Troy, New York. She was predeceased by her husband Julius whom she married in the Nassau Shul in 1951. Loving Mother of Eugene Platt and his wife Karen of Troy, NY and Marcia Meril and her husband Avraham of Brooklyn, NY. Grandmother of Benjamin Meril ( Shira) of Edison, New Jersey, Esther Weissman and her husband Jason of Modiin, Israel and Chava Meril of Brooklyn, NY. Great grandmother of Akiva and Elisha Meril and Julie and Noa Weissman. Rosalind also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anita Tender, Paula Pollack, Sophie Tabaknek and Celia Musto as well as her brothers, Benjamin and Max Feldman. Graveside services were held on Friday at 1:00pm at the Beth Tephilah Cemetery on Spring Avenue in Troy, NY.
