Obituary of Janet R. Somsky

JANET LEVINE SOMSKY 1920-2009 Troy, New York SOMSKY Janet Levine Somsky, age 89 of the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, formerly of Pinewood Avenue Extension in Troy, NY died on Sunday December 20, 2009 at the Eddy. Born in Hoosick Falls, NY, Janet graduated from Cobleskill College with a degree in nutrition. She began a job at Bellevue Hospital in NYC teaching special needs, proper food choices and diets that would benefit their individual medical problems, such as diabetes etc. Janet followed the progress of her patients as well. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Charles Somsky. She is survived by her brother, Bernie Levine of Troy, NY. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Arthur Levine, Benjamin Levine and Saul Levine as well as a sister, Mary. Janet also leaves nieces and nephews. Services at the Beth El Cemetery on Belle Avenue in Troy, New York on Tuesday January 5, 2010 at 11:00am.
