KITT GATES 1927-2009 Delmar, New York GATES Kitt Gates, age 82 of Lyons Avenue in Delmar, NY died on Friday morning December 18, 2009 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Kitt was born in Babylon, New York and resided in Saranac Lake, NY at one time, later moving to the Capital District where she resided in Albany, Glenmont and Delmar, NY She graduated from Babylon High School and later went on to nursing school at the Metropolitan Hospital in NYC. . Kitt was a member of Temple Israel in Albany and was a homemaker. Married for 60 years, Kitt was the beloved wife of Dr. Sherman Gates. Loving Mother of Linda Gates Nettleton of South Orange, New Jersey, Stephen Gates of Alexandria Virginia, Michael Gates of Groton, Massachusetts and Judith Rychcik of Delmar, NY. Sister of John Raymond Wolf Jr. of New Bern, North Carolina. Cherished grandmother of Jason and Jesse Nettleton, Emily Gates, Shaina, Kevin and Jason Gates and Brian and Chloe Rychcik. Services at Temple Israel, 600 New Scotland Avenue Albany on Sunday December 20, 2009 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland, NY.
