Obituary of Lloyd Symansky

LLOYD SYMANSKY 1922-2009 Lloyd Symansky, age 87 of the Classic Residence by Hyatt in Hollywood, Florida died on Thursday morning, December 10, 2009 at the Palm Garden Rehab. Hospital in Aventura, Florida. Born in Troy, NY, Lloyd was the son of the late Herman and Dora Davis Symansky. He had been the Chief Financial Officer for Hoffman Building Materials in Troy, NY for 30 years. He moved to Florida 17 years ago. Lloyd was a member of Temple Beth El in Troy, the Knights of Pythias, BPOE Elks and the Masons. He was also a founding member of the Albany Civic Theater. Lloyd is survived by 4 nephews, Robert Hoffman of Coral Gables, Florida, Stuart Hoffman of Arlington, Texas, Richard Symansky of Troy, NY and Dr. Martin Symansky also of Troy. He also leaves several great nieces and nephews and 2 great - great nephews. Brothers, Harvey and Milton Symansky and a sister, Lillianmae Hoffman, predeceased Lloyd. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany, NY on Sunday December 13, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Beth Tephilah Cemetery on Belle Avenue in Troy, NY.
