Obituary of Tauba Markova

TAUBA MARKOVA 1916-2009 Albany, New York MARKOVA Tauba Markova, age 93 of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center formerly of the Westview Homes on Central Avenue in Albany died peacefully on Wednesday morning December 2, 2009. Born in Kharkov, Ukraine, Mrs. Markova came to this country in 1994. She had a great love for the United States and enjoyed reading newspapers and discussing current events both from this country and abroad. In spite of her difficulty with the English language she was still able to express herself and communicate with the nurses and staff at the nursing home. Tauba was predeceased by her husband, David Markov. Loving Mother of Valentin Markov of Albany, NY. She was the cherished grandmother of Yelena Gaft of Glenmont, NY and the loving great grandmother of Marina Gaft. Private funeral services will be held at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Thursday December 3, 2009 at the convenience of her family. Tauba's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff on the gold unit at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for the kindnesses and care shown to her and her family during her stay as well as Ann from Community Hospice.
