Obituary of Sylvia Eiss

Sylvia Eiss age 97 died on Friday November 13, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Long Island, New York Sylvia was the wife of Morris Eiss until his passing in 1988. She was a member of Temple Israel in Albany and a life long member of Hadassah. Sylvia was predeceased by her son Allen Eiss, her sister Diana Brower and her brothers Sam and Gerson Steamer. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Lanfear, her grand daughters Ali Lanfear and Kimberly Eiss and great grand daughters Emmali Lanfear and Madison Eiss. She is also survived her sister in law Trudie Wolkenbriet and by several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m on Sunday November 15, 2009 at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany. Interment will follow in Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland New York. Memorial contributions may be made in Sylvia's memory to Temple Israel 600 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, New York 12208 or to a charity of choice.
