Obituary of Beatrice Rockowitz

Beatrice Garten Rockowitz age 90 died on October 28, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Rockowitz was born in Saginaw, Michigan and has been a capital district resident most of her life. She worked as a bookkeeper in the family business, the former Central Beer and Soda. She was a member of Temple Israel in Albany. She was also a member of U.T.O.S. Abigail and Hadassah. She was married to Benjamin Rockowitz until his passing in 2005. She is survived by two sons, Harold (Francine) Rockowitz of Guilderland, N.Y. and Michael (Karla) Rockowitz of Antioch CA.. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lewis (Stephanie) Rockowitz and Gordon (Vicki) Rockowitz. Great grandmother of Logan, Arianna, Parker and Brooklyn Rockowitz. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 30, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave., Albany, N.Y.. Interment will follow in Temple Israel Cemetery, Guilderland, N.Y. The period of mourning will be observed Saturday evening thru Tuesday at the home of Harold and Francine Rockowitz, 113 Benjamin St, Schenectady, N.Y, .
