Obituary of Arthur Biskin
Arthur Biskin age 92 of the Daughter's of Sarah Nursing Center passed away on Saturday October 24, 2009 at the center. Born in Albany, N.Y. he was the son of the late Nathan and Pauline (Rabinowitz) Biskin. Arthur was a life long resident of Albany. During World War II, Arthur served in the Army Air Corps at Pearl Harbor and was a Purple Heart Recipient. A semi-professional ballroom dancer, he was an avid tennis player, known not only for his skills, but for his friendly manner and his unique sense of humor. Predeceased by brothers Harry and Irving Biskin and sisters Rosalyn Fleser, Lillian Pogoda and Gertrude Axelrod, Arthur leaves many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. He also leaves his devoted friend, Hermonie Scortino.
On Arthur's behalf, the family wishes to express it's appreciation for the kindness and care of the staffs at the Veteran's Hospital and the Daughter's of Sarah.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 27, 2009 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
