Obituary of Rose Tolkoff

ROSE (RONNIE) TOLKOFF Rose (Ronnie) Tolkoff, 89 of the Wynwood of Niskayuna on Union Street in Niskayuna, NY died on Monday morning October 12, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Tolkoff was born in NYC and resided for many years in Westchester County as well as in Delray Beach, Florida. She was an avid golfer and swimmer as well as a life member of Hadassah. Ronnie was married to Reuben Tolkoff for 59 years until his passing in 1999.Loving Mother of Judy Sandman and her husband Michael of Loudonville, NY and Ellen Auerbach and her husband Michael of Niskayuna, NY. Sister of Irving Russo and his wife Esther of Boynton Beach, Florida. Sister-in law of Sam and Eleanor Tolkoff, Shirley Kahn, Faye Grossman and Mimi Tolkoff. Loving grandmother of Scott (Karen) Sandman, Jodi Sandman Mason (William), Dr. Marc Auerbach (Claudia) and Joshua Auerbach. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Alison R. Auerbach. Cherished great grandmother of Rebecca Auerbach Barr, Raiah Sandman and Aliyah Sandman. Ronnie also leaves many nieces and nephews. Services at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Avenue Schenectady on Tuesday October 13, 2009 at 10:00am. Interment will follow in the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY at 2:00pm. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Michael and Judy Sandman, 5 Ichabod Lane in Loudonville, NY on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings with a service at the residence each of those evenings at 7:00pm.
