Obituary of Rose Frank

ROSE S.FRANK Rose Schwadron Frank, 88, formerly residing at Hickory Drive in Slingerlands, died Tuesday October 6, 2009 after a long illness. Mrs. Frank was a lifelong resident of the Albany area. She attended the Albany Public Schools, Mildred Elley Business School, and studied art with Betty Warren and at the State University of Albany. She was a member of the Albany Artist Group and the Bethlehem Art Association, winning several awards for her oil paintings. Later in life, she taught art classes at the Beverwyck. She is survived by her children: Arthur (Marsha) Frank of Gordonville, PA; Bonnie (Andrew) Frank of Stephentown; and Susan Frank of Albany) and her 5 granddaughters. She was predeceased in 1994 by her husband, Stanley Frank. A service will be held at 11AM Thursday in the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave., Albany. Burial will follow the service at the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland. A period of mourning will be observed at the Frank residence at 59 Norwood Ave in Albany, NY on Thursday between 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
